Finalists Announced in 4th Annual Scottish Whisky Awards
The finalists in the national celebration of Scotch whisky have been announced in the celebrated awards programme for the whisky business in Scotland.
The Scottish Whisky Awards has revealed that 165 scotch whisky products have progressed to the finals. 49 judges have completed their assessments of over 200 scotch whisky products and written assessments from over 25 companies involved in the production of scotch whisky.
Over 300 people are expected to celebrate the winners on St Andrews Day at a black-tie awards dinner where the top three performers in each category will be awarded Gold, Sliver and Bronze medals.
The winners in all awards will be revealed at the annual black-tie ceremony which takes place on 30 November 2022 at the EICC in Edinburgh.
The event will also make its third presentation of the Professor Jim Swan Award for Services to Scotch Whisky, a lifetime achievement award for an individual who has served the sector. The award was created in 2019 with the support of the Swan family and seeks to highlight the much-admired character of the late Jim Swan as an independent, inclusive collaborator.
